From Façades to Solar Structures: Why QMS Started
QMS grew from a simple manufacturing observation: façade and roofing businesses already understand aluminium extrusion, cutting, punching, assembly and building-envelope interfaces. Those capabilities can also produce a repeatable solar mounting product for a growing energy market.
A product alongside project-led work
Façade businesses are normally driven by individual contracts, design development and project programmes. Solar mounting uses many of the same materials and processes but can be organised as a repeatable product range. That makes it a potential production filler and a route into a long-term growth sector.
Founded for a local solar market
QMS was established in 2018 in response to Dubai's clean-energy direction and the anticipated expansion of distributed solar across the UAE and wider Middle East. The objective was to provide a local source for solar framing rather than relying entirely on imported systems.
Building proprietary systems
The business developed from trading into designing and manufacturing its own aluminium components, assemblies and complete roof and ground-mount systems. The product family is supported by extrusion dies, fabrication drawings, engineering studies, production knowledge and market-specific experience.
A model that can travel
The same transition is relevant to established extruders, façade contractors and specialist fabricators in other countries. QMS can support component supply, distribution, white-label routes or phased local manufacture using QMS intellectual property and production support.
